REVIEW: Fake don't bake natural look tanning cream

Let's kick off the reviews with a good old fashioned (or new if we are being finnickity) self tanning cream.

This one is called "Fake Don't Bake". Genius. (Not to be confused with Fake Bake, which is another, more well known self tan.)

I saw someone on youtube (sorry can't remember who) mention this in their video. They liked it, and I saw it the next day in Poundland for...du du duhhhhh £1.00 and decided to give it a go.

I decided to apply this to my legs only as I don't fancy waking up as a tangerine, if the youtuber was less than honest in her review...

First impressions:
#It smells gorgeous. Not biscuit like, but rather the sweet coconut smell you get off sun tan lotions.
#The cream is not runny or watery at all - it's pretty thick.
#It dried in pretty quick, but it did still feel a little sticky when I put my clothes on. Not uncomfortably so, but I'm mentioning it anyway.

The Colour:
It's not orange - it's actually pretty natural looking, but as is usual with tanners on my legs...not entirely even coverage. I'm going to blame my legs here as it seems to happen with every tanner. The colour took quite a long time to develop and there was no guide colour in it to help judge if I'd missed bits.

The Conclusion:
For £1.00 this is a really nice tanner. The colour on my feet looks really good, and I'm using that as my guide to how it would look all over. Probably will give it a go tonight, so will let you know how it looks "all over".
I don't think I'd seek this out over my st moriz though - for now.

Have you tried this tanner? Do you have a favorite tan you want to recommend?

HAUL: Primark & H&M tops Aug 2011

I love looking at other people's hauls, so I'm just going to jump right in with a few bits I've picked up in the last couple of weeks...

Primark

Teal Sleeveless Top (£6)

This is gorgeous material - really soft and comfortable, but it has lovely detail on it with the scalloped collar, and little buttons down the front. There was only one left in a size bigger than I wear, but it fits really nicely so I'm happy enough!

Purple Sheer Top (£8)

The girl at the checkouts raved about this top when I was paying, and as she said - it's a lovely top you can throw on to dress up a pair of black jeans. It has brass buttons on the pockets, and a lovely turn up on the sleeve.

H&M

I have made an online order and these 2 items arrived today. One thing I'm unimpressed with is how long it takes h&m to send out orders - this took about 2 weeks, and I'm still waiting for other items. But, that aside - h&m is reasonably priced and some really gorgeous pieces this autumn/winter (you may laugh and say it's summer, but it's been raining that much I've moved on)

Blue fitted Shirt (£9.99)

I only purchased this to go underneath a jumper I am still waiting for, but when I tried it on I feel a little bit in love with both it's simplicity, and the fit. It fits really nice - is really flattering and I think is a very versatile shirt to have in my wardrobe. Laura from Buy Now, Blog Later said it best recently - a blue shirt makes a nice change from a plain white shirt sometimes!

Rings (£3.99)

Gorgeous colours. I absolutely ADORE earthy tones, so as soon as I saw these rings I had to own them, and for £3.99 they were a steal! I think my fav of the two is the mustard one - it's smaller and therefore looks better on my stupidly tiny hands!

Finally, here is my outfit of the day as seen on WIWT

Maxi dress: Primark Shirt: H&M

Wedges: New Look

Any great finds you have got in the shops lately? Please share :)

OOTD 15th August 2011

Hello there,

Check me out updating so soon. It's like I'm a real life, proper blogger, and stuff ;)
I kinda like the idea of posting outfits of the day, as I'm doing it on my WIWT account too, so it keeps me motivated. Hopefully others, like me, are obsessed with what others are buying / wearing and find my blog somewhat interesting. Even if it's a "what not to wear" by your standards...I'm being of help in some way, right?! RIGHT?!

So, here it is - my ground breakingly amazing outfit of today:

Top is from h&m garden collection - my friend gave it to me, so not sure when she bought it. I love the big textured sleeves on it. They are like big wings that I like to flap and pretend I'm a bird (not in public though obviously...people might think I'm weird, you know?!)

The shorts are from this year - carpenter shorts from new look, and my rings are a selection from asos and primark (necklace also primark)

All in all this is a pretty relaxed, easy to wear outfit - right up my street.
Hope you like :)

OOTD and new fashion Facebook site

Hello hello!

I really am rubbish at keeping up with blogging, aren't I?!
Apologies!
Today I wish to bring to your attention a brand new site, which is quickly gaining a reputation as the fashion Facebook, and the more relaxed version of lookbook...
It's what i wore today At the moment it is still in beta mode and you can only sign up for an invite, but it is well worth the wait I assure you! :)

I posted my first, rather lazy outfit today and I decided to share it here too:

And yes - it IS actually August, and I'm wrapped up in a jumper and scarf!! Ridiculous but necessary.
Jumper is from new look (last season) scarf is primark, and jeans are moto. This is my "I'm not going anywhere today so am choosing comfy" look. Comfy makes me happy ;)

What's your comfy style?
